Tattoos can be transformative for us as individuals. I believe the practice can be liberating for the larger community as well.
Through the Pay It Forward program, you can receive one FREE hour of tattooing in exchange for proof of six hours of volunteer work. This hour can be redeemed during longer sessions or for a single hour session.
Rules and Restrictions:
6 volunteer hours = 1 Pay It Forward hour
Limit one Pay It Forward hour/session
Volunteer hours must be completed in the same month (or 30 days) of scheduling the appointment
Clients must indicate on booking form or through email prior to tattoo appointment that they intend to participate in the Pay It Forward Program
Clients may volunteer with an organization of their choice, but only hours that directly benefit the Oakland community will be eligible for Pay It Forward hours. If you are unsure if your volunteering fits in this category, please email whaackart@gmail.com.
Please be prepared to pay a deposit to reserve your appointment. If your tattoo is an hour or less, this deposit can be refunded upon redeeming a Pay It Forward hour
Clients must bring signed volunteer log to appointment (or email it prior).
